Description
A crowd favourite, the A.10 compliments many shapes and sizes. Constructed from organic medium-weight linen, these palazzo style trousers with their elastic waist are basically the perfect brunch pant. Featuring a long, detached belt allowing for a variety of styling options. Pull 'em up high and cinch the belts below for a paper bag look, or wrap the belts around for a more tailored style. Leave them loose or freestyle without. The pockets on these guys are almost as deep as our love for them.

Make
Description
The A.10 trousers are made entirely in-house by the A.BCH team at our HQ in Victoria. Our in-house cutters and tailors plot the pattern with minimal offcuts, then cut, construct, press and trim. We can also make the A.10 trousers in white organic linen or olive green.

Fabric
Description
100% GOTS certified organic linen, grown in France by a group of farmers who have dedicated the last 10 years to perfecting the art of organic linen farming. Scutching is performed locally, fibres are then sent to Hungary to be spun into yarn. Finally, they are sent to Belgium, where they’re woven in a C02 neutral mill and dyed with GOTS certified low-impact dyes. Our Belgian supplier has been creating linen since 1864 and are recognised by The Masters of Linen.

Elastic
Description
Our elastic is pretty amazing. It's been created from biodegradable polymers by a German innovator and manufacturer. The technology was developed to replace traditionally synthetic building blocks (like elastic and labels) and is certified by C2C, plus it's been recognised for its innovation in sustainability and circular design.

Label
Description
100% recycled polyester made in-house by a manufacturer with a passion for developing sustainable alternatives for brands. This is the only part of the garment that isn’t biodegradable. Things get better! In 2019 we developed an organic cotton alternative, a first of its kind on the market. From A.31 onwards, all garments will be 100% cellulosic (meaning completely synthetic free!)

Packaging
Compost
Our default packaging for local orders, home-compostable satchels have the lowest environmental impact when composted locally. Please don't throw this into your general waste bin, instead, after re-use, compost at home or find other solutions here. You can contact us immediately after placing your order to request recyclable packing instead.
Recycled
For extra fragile goods, or international orders, we use 100% post-consumer waste recycled and RECYCLABLE satchels, boxes and tissue paper. After re-use, these can go into your curb-side paper recycling bin.
Care
Laundering
Organic fibres need just a little more TLC than conventional ones. Machine wash on COLD, use a delicates bag for best results and hang to dry. We'll also send a detailed digital care guide when you buy this garment.
Repairs
We stand by our garments + offer complimentary repairs for all A.BCH pieces. Our free repairs are for general wear and tear, all we ask is that you cover the cost of delivery or drop off to our Melbourne studio. Re-making or alterations can also be requested + will be individually quoted based on the time required.
End of Life
Recirculate
Help extend the life of the A.10 by sending or dropping it back to us for store credit – we'll even cover the shipping. Depending on its condition, we'll repair & re-sell it (as second hand), remake it into something or if it's no longer useful, we'll transform it into brand new yarns through our Recycling Program (so circular, darling).
Recycle
The A.10 was specifically designed for easy mechanical or cellulose chemical recycling. Send or drop it back to us for store credit, we'll even cover the shipping. Once received and assessed, the garment is washed and prepared for mechanical recycling. The yarns we create from this process will become feedstock for future A.BCH styles.
Biodegrade
If returning is unlikely (you're busy with a climate rally or living off the grid), the A.10 is also biodegradable. After a long life of use, repair and re-use, simply cut off the A.BCH A.10 tag (not biodegradable) before cutting the rest of the garment into smaller pieces and burying in your garden soil. The A.10 should biodegrade entirely within 4-8 weeks, depending on conditions.
