Make

Description

The A.29 relaxed panel jacket is made to order in-house by the A.BCH team at our Collingwood studio. Here, we cut, construct, press and trim the jackets for excess threads. The jacket is made individually, to order with love and care.

Fabric

Description

100% hemp, grown and spun in China. Spun yarns are sent to Belgium, where they’re woven in a C02 neutral mill and oxygen whitened. Our Belgian supplier has been creating linen since 1864 and are recognised by The Masters of Linen, they also frequently work with hemp. Hemp is notoriously difficult to trace back to origin, and although the transparency for our hemp is not yet perfect, we are working to improve it as we grow. We think this fibre is super important for the future and are dedicated to supporting its cultivation, with the aim of achieving full transparency for this fibre in the year ahead.

Label

Description

100% recycled PET made in-house by a manufacturer with a passion for developing sustainable alternatives for brands. This is the only part of the garment that isn’t biodegradable. There's good news for the future. In 2019 we developed a way to make these labels in organic cotton which feature in garments from A.31 onwards.

Care Label

Description

100% GOTS organic cotton. When we first started A.BCH in 2017, there were no organic cotton label options. In 2019, we were able to make the switch to digitally printed, 100% GOTS organic care labels which are now found on most of our garments.

End of Life

Recycling

To recycle this baby, send it back to us for store credit. We'll even cover shipping! Depending on its condition, we'll repair & re-sell it (as second hand) OR transform it into brand new yarns through our recycling program (so circular, darling).

Compost

If returning is unlikely (you're busy rallying for climate change or living off the grid), this jacket is 99.5% compostable! After a long life of use, repair and re-use, simply remove the A.BCH tag before cutting the rest up into strips, safe for anaerobic composting at home or commercially.
