A.BCH DENIM combines tailored cuts with the structure of raw denim. These trousers feature a fitted waistband, relaxed hip and flared leg with beautiful detailing like a hammer holster, cargo pocket, recycled cotton internal pockets and flattering squared back pockets. Featuring our signature natural corozo button-down fly, tonal stitching, belt loops and high-rise waistband.
While you can order standard sizing for these trousers, we do recommend that you provide your inseam measurement to achieve the perfect long-line look. After purchase, we'll be in touch to confirm this with you.
* Please note that raw denim is unwashed denim and dye can transfer to other garments when worn. We do not recommend wearing white porous material shoes (ie. suede or canvas) with this style of pants. Raw denim also has a significant structured feel when new; over time, wear and washing, the denim will soften drastically and the colour will fade to a rich dark blue colour.

The A.60 is made to order, in-house at the A.BCH circular factory. Our entire production and HQ operations rely on 100% renewable wind power and we carbon offset our energy use. Your fabric is first laid and cut with minimal waste, pieces are then sewn by our team of skilled machinists. Each garment is trimmed for excess threads and pressed before being sent to you. Our operations are accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia.

100% organically grown raw cotton denim (11.5oz) certified by European Union Organic Agriculture certifying body, Ecocert. The fibre is grown and spun in Egypt. The yarns were purchased in 2007 by our denim mill based in Okayama, Ibara, the heart of Japanese denim manufacturing. Due to slow adoption of organic yarns in local denim markets, this premium organic cotton has sat unused for several years. Upon purchase, the warp yarns are dyed and woven with undyed weft yarns on shuttle looms. We buy the finished raw denim from a Japanese textile wholesaler based in Osaka, which sources directly from the mills.

100% Tencel Lyocell. Tencel Lyocell is made from eucalyptus tree pulp, which is FSC and Canopy verified. The fibre is created by Lenzing in Austria and is certified carbon neutral. It is then spun and dyed in Portugal. The thread is strong, durable and colourfast and is biodegradable in land and marine environments.

20% Recycled Cotton + 80% Cotton plain weave taffeta. The virgin cotton is grown in the USA, while the recycled content comes out of factory waste from Guatemala's denim mills. The two cottons are blended, spun and woven – they are completely undyed. We purchase and import the fabric directly from the mill in Guatemala who have been dedicated to creating beautiful undyed and recycled cottons since 1956.

100% Oeko tex certified, brushed organic cotton - notably formaldehyde free and affixed with a resin. While the manufacturing facility is GOTS accredited and the fusing is acceptable for use in GOTS certified garments, the actual fusing itself is not GOTS certified due to the resin component. Removal of fusing before recycling or composting is recommended due to the unknown degradability of the resin. Made in Germany, stocked and shipped from the manufacturer’s factory in Hong Kong.

100% corozo fruit seed, harvested and processed by local communities in Panama City. Once the fruit of the Tagua palm has fallen from the tree, the seeds are collected and processed for button making. The buttons are designed, manufactured and dyed in-house using non-toxic, low impact dyes.

100% organic cotton, printed with Oeko Tex 100 certified inks. The yarns are sourced in India from GOTS certified mills and are woven at our supplier-owned mill into tape. They are then whitened according to GOTS standards using oxygen based whiteners and digitally printed using soy based inks.

Our default packaging for local orders, home-compostable satchels have the lowest environmental impact when composted locally. Please don't throw this into your general waste bin, instead, after re-use, compost at home or find other solutions here. You can contact us immediately after placing your order to request recyclable packing instead.
For extra fragile goods, or international orders, we use 100% post-consumer waste recycled and RECYCLABLE satchels, boxes and tissue paper. After re-use, these can go into your curb-side paper recycling bin.
Raw denim is a special thing. It fosters a unique relationship between garment and wearer that only improves over time. For this reason we do not recommend washing raw denim garments, and instead to preserve them through airing out or freezing, allowing a natural and unique patina to develop over time. If you must, of course they can be machine washed on cold and promptly hung to dry - but beware the dye that will be released in the process. See more info on raw denim here. We'll also send a detailed digital care guide when you buy this garment.
We stand by our garments + offer complimentary repairs for all A.BCH pieces. Our free repairs are for general wear and tear, all we ask is that you cover the cost of delivery or drop off to our Melbourne studio. Re-making or alterations can also be requested + will be individually quoted based on the time required.
Help extend the life of the A.60 by sending or dropping it back to us for store credit – we'll even cover the shipping. Depending on its condition, we'll repair & re-sell it (as second hand), remake it into something or if it's no longer useful, we'll transform it into brand new yarns through our Recycling Program (so circular, darling).
With some decommissioning, the A.60 was specifically designed for easy mechanical or cellulose chemical recycling and this is the preferred afterlife pathway. Send or drop it back to us for store credit, we'll even cover the shipping. Once received and assessed, the garment is washed and prepared for mechanical recycling. The yarns we create from this process will become feedstock for future A.BCH styles.
The A.60 requires moderate decommissioning (including removal of the front waistband and button hole facing) before being ready to biodegrade. Also, while the cellulose buttons are compostable, we opt for re-use unless they are broken. We highly recommend sending this piece back to us so we can appropriately assess and recycle it - however as a last resort, this garment can be self-decommissioned, cut into smaller pieces and buried in your garden soil. The A.60 should decompose in 8-12 weeks, depending on conditions
