GOTS organic rib t-shirt in undyed with raw hems, cap sleeves, high neck band and our signature contrast back-tack on the sides and centre back neck. Figure hugging and made from our much loved signature organic, softly structured rib.

Also available in black, grey marle and cherry- should you require more than one.

Make

Description

The A.35 is made in-house at the A.BCH circular factory. Our entire factory and HQ operate on 100% renewable wind power and we carbon offset our energy use. The fabric is first laid and cut with minimal waste, pieces are then sewn by our team of skilled machinists. All raw hems have been stabilised at the seams and finished with our contrast signature back tack. Each garment is trimmed and pressed before being sent to you. Our operations are accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia.

100% certified organic cotton 295gsm, 1x1 rib. The fibre is grown, processed and spun in India, is ACO certified plus is Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified at every stage from processing to finishing to meet strict environmental, toxicity and social standards. The yarns are knitted at our partner mill (one of the last remaining in Australia) located just outside of Melbourne. From here, the fabric is sent to a local dye-house to be scoured and is left in its natural state without the use of whiteners or dyes.

100% GOTS certified 3ply cotton - also un-dyed, sourced from small organic farms just outside the village of Mohancot in the Jhabua district, India. Each of these small-holder farmers combine their crops for ginning and spinning, which is processed to strict environmental and social standards- as is required by GOTS certification. We source the finished threads from our wholesaler in the USA..

Description

Our labels are woven un-dyed and black OCS organic cotton, grown in the Xinjiang province in China. The labels were created after we searched high and low for a supplier who would be willing to weave organic cotton into labels for us, and we finally found one thanks to our wholesale partner. This is a positive step, however we are working to have these labels GOTS certified in the future as well.

Description

100% undyed organic cotton, printed with Oeko Tex 100 certified inks. The yarns are sourced in India from GOTS certified mills and are woven at our supplier-owned mill into tape. They are left undyed and are then digitally printed.

Compost

Our default packaging for local orders, home-compostable satchels have the lowest environmental impact when composted locally. Please don't throw this into your general waste bin, instead, after re-use, compost at home or find other solutions here. You can contact us immediately after placing your order to request recyclable packing instead.

Recycled

For extra fragile goods, or international orders, we use 100% post-consumer waste recycled and RECYCLABLE satchels, boxes and tissue paper. After re-use, these can go into your curb-side paper recycling bin. 

Care

Laundering

Organic fibres need just a little more TLC than conventional ones. Machine wash on COLD, use a delicates bag for best results and hang to dry. We'll also send a detailed digital care guide when you buy this garment.

Repairs

We stand by our garments + offer complimentary repairs for all A.BCH pieces. Our free repairs are for general wear and tear, all we ask is that you cover the cost of delivery or drop off to our Melbourne studio. Re-making or alterations can also be requested + will be individually quoted based on the time required.

End of Life

Recirculate

Help extend the life of the A.35 by sending or dropping it back to us for store credit – we'll even cover the shipping. Depending on its condition, we'll repair & re-sell it (as second hand), remake it into something or if it's no longer useful, we'll transform it into brand new yarns through our Recycling Program (so circular, darling).

Recycle

The A.35 was specifically designed for easy mechanical or cellulose chemical recycling. Send or drop it back to us for store credit, we'll even cover shipping. Once received and assessed, the garment is washed and prepared for mechanical recycling. The yarns we create from this process will become feedstock for future A.BCH styles.

Compost

If returning is unlikely (you're busy with a climate rally or living off the grid), the undyed A.35 is also compostable. After a long life of use, repair and re-use, simply cut the garment into smaller pieces and place in your home composting system or garden soil.
