Description
A crowd favourite now in Olive, the A.10 trousers compliment many shapes and sizes. Constructed from a medium-weight linen, these wide-leg trousers with their elastic waist are basically the perfect brunch pant. The long, unattached belt allows for a variety of styling options. Pull 'em up high and cinch the belt below for a paper bag look, wrap the belt around for a more tailored style, wear the belt loose or freestyle without it. The pockets on these guys are almost as deep as our love for them.
Also available in black.

A.BCH A.10
Product Story
Make
Description
Made to order, entirely in-house at A.BCH HQ in Collingwood. Our in-house cutters and tailors plot the pattern with minimal offcuts, then cut, construct, press and trim. The piece is accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia and is eligible for customisation, so if you need a different length or waist measurement, please get in touch. We can also make these in black or white organic linen.

Fabric
Description
100% Belgian linen, grown in France. Scutching is performed locally, fibres are then sent to Hungary to be spun into yarn. Finally, they are sent to Belgium, where they’re woven in a C02 neutral mill and dyed with low-impact dyes. Our Belgian supplier has been creating linen since 1864 and are recognised by The Masters of Linen. At this stage, our olive linen is not certified organic, but we are working on it!

Elastic
Description
Our elastic is pretty amazing. It's been created from biodegradable polymers by a German innovator and manufacturer. The technology was developed to replace traditionally synthetic building blocks (like elastic and labels) and is certified by C2C, plus it's been recognised for its innovation in sustainability and circular design.

Label
Description
100% recycled PET made in-house by a manufacturer with a passion for developing sustainable alternatives for brands. This is the only part of the garment that isn’t biodegradable. Things get better! In 2019 we developed an organic cotton alternative, a first of its kind on the market. From A.31 onwards, all garments will be 100% cellulosic (meaning completely synthetic free!)

Care Label
Description
100% organic cotton, printed with Oeko Tex 100 certified inks. The yarns are sourced in India from GOTS certified mills and are woven at our supplier-owned mill into tape. They are then whitened according to GOTS standards using oxygen based whiteners and digitally printed.

Packaging
Compost
Our default packaging for local orders, home-compostable satchels have the lowest environmental impact when composted locally. Please don't throw this into your general waste bin, instead, after re-use, compost at home or find other solutions here. You can contact us immediately after placing your order to request recyclable packing instead.
Recycled
For extra fragile goods, or international orders, we use 100% post-consumer waste recycled and RECYCLABLE satchels, boxes and tissue paper. After re-use, these can go into your curb-side paper recycling bin.
Care
Laundering
Organic fibres need just a little more TLC than conventional ones. Machine wash on COLD, use a delicates bag for best results and hang to dry. We'll also send a detailed digital care guide when you buy this garment.
Repairs
We stand by our garments + offer complimentary repairs for all A.BCH pieces. Our free repairs are for general wear and tear, all we ask is that you cover the cost of delivery or drop off to our Melbourne studio. Re-making or alterations can also be requested + will be individually quoted based on the time required.
End of Life
Recirculate
Help extend the life of the A.10 by sending or dropping it back to us for store credit – we'll even cover the shipping. Depending on its condition, we'll repair & re-sell it (as second hand), remake it into something or if it's no longer useful, we'll transform it into brand new yarns through our Recycling Program (so circular, darling).
Recycle
The A.10 was specifically designed for easy mechanical or cellulose chemical recycling. Send or drop it back to us for store credit, we'll even cover the shipping. Once received and assessed, the garment is washed and prepared for mechanical recycling. The yarns we create from this process will become feedstock for future A.BCH styles.
Biodegrade
If returning is unlikely (you're busy with a climate rally or living off the grid), the A.10 is also biodegradable. After a long life of use, repair and re-use, simply cut off the A.BCH A.10 tag (not biodegradable) before cutting the rest of the garment into smaller pieces and burying in your garden soil. The A.10 should biodegrade entirely within 4-8 weeks, depending on conditions.
