Love the tailoring and quality fabric
I love the quality of the fabric and the detail in the tailoring of the fabulous shirt. I think I'll be wearing this still in 20 years time with weekly wear. Great for the environment.

Elegant in the everyday, this medium weight chambray shirt is made with a very special hemp blended with organic cotton. A relaxed look through the body, longer in the back with added details in the side split and back yoke. Featuring our beautiful contrasting natural corozo buttons under the hidden placket, this shirt is as nice to make as it is to wear. Due to the unisex cut, we recommend men, or those with broad shoulders, to order up one - two sizes.
Also available in Black Linen or White Linen.

A lush blend of 41% Hemp + 59% GOTS certified organic cotton, grown and spun in India and imported into Japan by the mill. Yarns are first dyed with low-impact dyes, before being woven on a narrow shuttle loom in Nishiwaki, a city based in the Hyōgo prefecture in Japan. This is the very end of the mill's production and we secured the final 36 meters left on the roll, which was ordered though our wholesaler Shino Shouten. This fabric is the perfect chambray weight for shirting and is available across our shirting range until it's gone.

100% Tencel Lyocell. Tencel Lyocell is made from eucalyptus tree pulp, which is FSC and Canopy verified. The fibre is created by Lenzing in Austria and is certified carbon neutral. It is then spun and dyed in Portugal. The thread is strong, durable and colourfast and is biodegradable in land and marine environments.

100% corozo fruit seed, sourced sustainably from Panama City, Panama. Once the fruit has fallen from the tree, the seeds are collected and processed for button making. The buttons are designed, manufactured and dyed in-house by our supplier, using only non-toxic, biodegradable dyestuffs.

100% recycled PET made in-house by a manufacturer with a passion for developing sustainable alternatives for brands. This is the only part of the garment that isn’t biodegradable. There's good news! In 2019 we developed a way to make these labels in organic cotton which feature in garments from A.31 onwards

100% organic cotton, printed with Oeko Tex 100 certified inks. The yarns are sourced in India from GOTS certified mills and are woven at our supplier-owned mill into tape. They are then whitened according to GOTS standards using oxygen based whiteners and digitally printed.

Our default packaging for local orders, home-compostable satchels have the lowest environmental impact when composted locally. Please don't throw this into your general waste bin, instead, after re-use, compost at home or find other solutions here. You can contact us immediately after placing your order to request recyclable packing instead.
For extra fragile goods, or international orders, we use 100% post-consumer waste recycled and RECYCLABLE satchels, boxes and tissue paper. After re-use, these can go into your curb-side paper recycling bin.
Organic fibres need just a little more TLC than conventional ones. Machine wash on COLD, use a delicates bag for best results and hang to dry. We'll also send a detailed digital care guide when you buy this garment.
We stand by our garments + offer complimentary repairs for all A.BCH pieces. Our free repairs are for general wear and tear, all we ask is that you cover the cost of delivery or drop off to our Melbourne studio. Re-making or alterations can also be requested + will be individually quoted based on the time required.
Help extend the life of the A.05 by sending or dropping it back to us for store credit – we'll even cover the shipping. Depending on its condition, we'll repair & re-sell it (as second hand), remake it into something or if it's no longer useful, we'll transform it into brand new yarns through our Recycling Program (so circular, darling).
With minor decommissioning, the A.05 was specifically designed for mechanical or cellulose chemical recycling. Send or drop it back to us for store credit, we'll even cover the shipping. Once received and assessed, the garment is washed and prepared for mechanical recycling. The yarns we create from this process will become feedstock for future A.BCH styles.
The A.05 requires some decommissioning (including removal of the collar, cuffs and A.BCH A.05 label) before being ready to biodegrade. Also, while the cellulose buttons are biodegradable too, we opt for re-use unless they are broken. We highly recommend sending this piece back to us so we can appropriately recycle it however as a last resort, this garment can be self-decommissioned, cut into smaller pieces and buried in your garden soil. The A.05 should biodegrade within 4-8 weeks, depending on conditions, noting buttons may take longer to decompose.

We believe every body should be able to wear A.BCH.
Bodies come in all shapes, forms and sizes that often fall outside a "conventional" sizing range.
That’s why in addition to ready-to-wear, we can alter or customise most A.BCH garments to meet your needs. From simple alterations like wider waists, longer hems, or more complex custom fits for your smokin' hot bod. Book a consultation here, or contact us with any questions.
Alternatively, choose size 'C' (for Custom) on any available product and we'll be in touch to find out the details.
