Red Line is our premium range of garments developed in the A.BCH creative process. The pieces are either limited editions or are one of a kind, made from unique and rare materials we discover or create.

The Panel Jacket is a made from a super heavy-weight hemp fabric which has exceptional drape. An open front style jacket with hidden chest pockets, exaggerated collar and sleeve splits for a touch of drama.

Product Story

Make

Description

The hemp panel jacket is made to order entirely in-house at the A.BCH studio by our in-house tailors. While we have a standard range of sizes we can make, we are also able to customise the piece at your request. We've designed this jacket to be oversized, and it sits loosely on the body.

Fabric

Description

A stunning 100% pumice-stone washed hemp with incredible handfeel and drape. The hemp fibres are grown and spun in China. Spun yarns are sent to Belgium, where they’re woven in a C02 neutral mill, dyed and sustainably stonewashed. Our Belgian supplier has been creating linen since 1864 and are recognised by The Masters of Linen, they also frequently work with hemp. Hemp is notoriously difficult to trace back to origin, and although the transparency for our hemp is not up to speed, we are working to improve it as we grow. We think this fibre is super important for the future and are dedicated to supporting its cultivation, with the aim of achieving full transparency for this fibre in the year ahead.

Label

Description

100% recycled PET made in-house by a manufacturer with a passion for developing sustainable alternatives for brands. This is the only part of the garment that isn’t biodegradable. There's good news! In 2019 we developed a way to make these labels in organic cotton which feature in garments from A.31 onwards. Our Red Line pieces utilise earlier numbers so please remove before composting.

Care Label

Description

100% GOTS organic cotton. When we first started A.BCH in 2017, there were no organic cotton label options. In 2019, we were able to make the switch to digitally printed, 100% GOTS organic care labels which are now found on most of our garments.

End of Life

Recycling

To recycle this jacket, send it back to us for store credit. We'll even cover shipping costs. Depending on its condition, we'll repair & re-sell it (as second hand) OR transform it into brand new yarns through our recycling program (so circular, darling).

Compost

If returning is unlikely (you're busy with a climate rally or living off the grid), this jacket is 99.5% compostable. After a long life of use, repair and re-use, simply remove the A.BCH tag and cut the rest into strips, safe for anaerobic composting at home or commercially.
